The Church Council of Christ Lutheran Church, at their meeting on March 19th, 2024, called a special congregational meeting for April 7th, 2024. The meeting will take place after the morning worship service (11 AM). The purpose of the meeting is to approve funds to reconstruct the wall in the memory garden which is in danger of collapsing into the windows on that side of the fellowship hall.

The low estimate of $16,785 is from Bill Jenne. He needs to take down the existing wall and hand dig the dirt that was behind it, which he will set aside to be replaced. He will lay a concrete footer, improve the drainage and then replace the current blocks with red, split face concrete blocks which are less porous than those that are currently there and should last much longer. He will use rebar to reinforce the new wall and fill the blocks with concrete to further stabilize the wall. After that the dirt will be replaced.

Because of the amount of this expenditure, it needs to be approved by the congregation. If you have any question, they can be answered at the meeting.
