Small Groups

Small Group ministry’s emphasis is on connecting / building relationships and nuturing folks in the faith. It is not just a meeting. Community is to “know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, celebrate and be celebrated.”
Small group ministry seeks to build relationships not only with one another within the faith family, but to reach out and invite, recognizing that each person brings something special to the group.
What is a small group? A small group is a group of 6 - 12 people. Groups can focus around bible study, social issues, money, ecology, etc., as it relates to faith. They can be groups made up of couples, singles, just women or just men or just students. There is always an “open seat” for guests. When the group gets too large, it is time to birth a new group.
Current small groups:
- Parents with Young Children
- Prayer Shawl Ministry
Contact Mary Kaye Kerber
- Tuesday Morning Bible Study

A typical group would follow this general format:
- Approximately two hours long
- Gathering time: sharing how folks are doing —
really doing

- Collective prayer
- Social time

And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
— Matthew 28: 18-20
