Happy Monday!  Please buckle in as we have A LOT of important announcements this week.  Do read through them all.

Happening at Church:

  • Hanging of the Greens (ie decorating the church for Christmas) will take place this Thursday from 10am to Noon and then, if needed, Friday from 5-7pm.  All are welcome to help out, but please email Marilyn Shealy to let her know if you are coming: mshealy@intelliwave.com.  This helps property plan activities according to the volunteer force available.
  • Those wishing to donate for relief for those affected by the storms over the weekend can donate to Lutheran Disaster Response, at disaster@elca.org. A full 100% of a donation marked "U.S. Tornadoes" will be used for victims of the tornadoes. Coincidentally, LDR will also be the recipient of this year's Christmas Eve worship offering.  If you wish to donate to LDR in general, you may do so by putting something in offering place at Christmas Eve worship, or through the "Give" feature of our website, following the exact same steps as for Hats, Scarves, and Mittens below but looking for ELCA Lutheran Distaster Response in the "To" menu.
  • We invite you to donate to Social Ministry’s Hats, Scarves, and Mittens drive. To donate online, go to "Give" on the homepage, then click "Give Online Now" and look through the "To" drop down list to find the drive. You can also write a check to Christ Lutheran Church with “Hats, Scarves, and Mittens” in the memo line and mail to the church or leave it in the offering plate at any of our worship services prior to Christmas Eve.
  • Poinsettias are available again this year -- all orders must be received by Monday, Dec. 20th to be featured in the bulletin.   The cost is $7 per plant.   Please see the December Chi Rho Newsletter page 2 for details on how to order and pay online.  Physical envelopes are available in the narthex and may be left in the offering plate on Sunday.
  • Wednesday Night Prayer is now Advent Evening Prayer and is both in-person in the sanctuary and live-streamed, at the same time of 7pm every Wednesday in Advent.  It available on all the same platforms as our normal Sunday service: live on our website, on our facebook page and YouTube channel
  • The Choir will once again practice immediately following Sunday worship Please contact George Weckman at weckman@ohio.edu with questions about practices.
